After accusations of Lima councilman Jamie Dixon's residence, law director Tony Geiger seems to have put the issue to rest.

Geiger issued a release Thursday stating he spoke with Dixon and concluded his legal residence is still his home on Second Street. Dixon provided Geiger with numerous documents such as bank statements, driver license, a court subpoena as a witness and more, that all list him at the Second Street home. In the release, Geiger cited a few supreme court rulings on similar matters and has therefore determined this case to be closed.

"Although counselor Dixon certainly spends time with his wife at the Elijah Parkway property, he also spends time at his abode on Second Street," Geiger said. "He has objective evidence to support his position that Second Street is, in fact, his legal address, if you will."

Geiger added Dixon and his wife are looking for a new home in the Fifth Ward.
