Lima Young Professionals hands out their ILLY Awards

The Illy Awards give the organization a chance recognize the leaders in the community, that are representative of those traits and support the mission of the Young Professionals and their members. Lima’s Young Professionals are honoring people in the community for their efforts and hard work.

The organization held its 6th annual ILLY Awards Thursday night. Illy stands for Inspire growth, Lead others, Love Lima, and Young Professionals. The ILLY Awards give the organization a chance recognize the leaders in the community, that are representative of those traits and support the mission of the Young Professionals and their members.

“Our goal is to retain talent into the Lima Area. So we would like to show everybody how our community comes together with different organizations. We will be partnering in 2019 with Mercy Health, UNOH, and Lima City Schools as well,” said Erica Hawkins, Lima Young Professionals.

Among the awards the group gave out was their Legacy Award to Adah Ellerbrock and the Lifetime Achievement Award to the Stolly family for their continued support of the Young Professionals. The Love Lima ILLY Award was awarded to the Lima Locos, Mercy Health-St. Rita's won the Champion ILLY Award, Jeremy Martinez from Veterans Memorial Civic Center won Emerging YP ILLY Award, and Ty Shelby of OmniSource won the YP Service ILLY Award.
