"A date that will live in infamy", that from President Franklin D. Roosevelt to Congress the day after the bombing of Pearl Harbor.

It was December 7, 1941, when the Japanese Imperial Navy launched a surprise attack on the U.S. naval base in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. The attack led Congress to pass a declaration of war against Japan, casting the United States into World War II. As many of our Pearl Harbor survivors are no longer with us, it's important to keep their stories alive and always remember the significance of that day.

"The attacks on Pearl Harbor, the 2,390 American casualties that we lost on this day 77 years ago. I mean that's really what started a sequence of events that changed who we are as a military, who we are as a country," said Staff Sgt. Chris Adler.

Adler encourages everyone to take a moment of silence today to remember those involved in that fateful day.
