Mercy Health-St. Rita's making another investment in the Lima community with the construction of a 15-million dollar building. A graduate medical education facility is being built at the corner of Market and Collett streets. It will house a 250 seat auditorium, classrooms, a library, and a computer center for graduate medical students. Studies show that there could be a major shortage of physicians in the future and Mercy Health-St. Rita's wants to be at the forefront of educating and retaining medical students. They also want the facility to be an asset to the Lima region as well.
