LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) - After serving many organizations in Allen County, Council Administrator Carole Enneking with the Allen County Family and Children’s First Council is celebrating her upcoming retirement.
Enneking began her career in student activities at Ohio State Lima and Lima Technical College. She later operated Bluffton Family Recreation, now the Bluffton Family YMCA, for 12 years. Enneking returned to academia at Rhodes State College, where she served in the alumni department before fulfilling her current role. At her retirement party, Enneking reflected on what it meant to make a difference in several areas of the community.
"In all aspects of my career, I've been in positions where I'm working with people and seeing the potential in those people and trying to collaborate with others. So, this particular position is wonderful because that's the purpose: getting all of the family serving agencies together and to support our families and meet those needs and gaps and barriers for them," says Carole Enneking, who is retiring as Council Administrator from the Allen County FCFC.
Once retired, Enneking and her husband, James, who is retiring as executive director of the Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce, plan to spend lots of time with their grandchildren.
