LIMA, OH (WLIO) - The Lima Community Improvement Corporation (LCIC) held a public open house Monday.
Monday's open house gave the public an opportunity to meet LCIC Executive Director, Marcie Barlow, along with board members. Also, residents learned more about the corporation's mission to bring more family-owned residential properties by rehabilitating existing homes in addition to filling vacant land parcels in the city. Recently, the LCIC received a grant to help fulfill this mission.
Recently, the LCIC received a grant to help fulfill this mission.
"We were awarded a Welcome Home Ohio Grant, so we have to either rehab or build 24 homes for individual families to own and move into in the next 2 years... so that definitely is going to keep us busy, and by doing so, we're revitalizing the neighborhoods, giving a lot of people some much-needed homes to call their own," says Marcie Barlow, LCIC Executive Director.
If you were unable to attend Monday or would like more information, you can call the LCIC at (567) 433-6489.
