Your News Now at Eleven: A former Bath school student was arrested after police were alerted about a concerning post.The Bath superintendent says the school district was informed of the social media post last night. While the post was considered a threat, the superintendent says it didn't specifically target Bath students or staff members. The Allen County Sheriff's Office was notified and the former student was taken into custody and school went on as normal. The district continues to stay in contact with the sheriff's office as they investigate.
Press Release from Bath Superintendent Rich Dackin: Last night we received information about a concerning social media post from a student that currently does not attend Bath Local Schools. We immediately contacted the Allen County Sheriff’s Department who took action and the individual was taken into custody last night. There was no specific threat made towards any student or staff member at Bath schools. Since last night, we have been in constant communication with the sheriff’s department as this is an ongoing investigation. At no point was there a need for us to consider disrupting school operations. The sheriff’s office investigation is ongoing and we cannot release any additional details at this time.
