A child is hospitalized after being hit by a car in Putnam County.

Just after 3 p.m. Friday afternoon, the Putnam County Sheriff's Office responded to a 9-1-1 call on Road L in Ottawa. They say a car ran a boy over on private property. He had to be transported by life flight to St. Vincent hospital in Toledo. Kalida Fire and EMS also responded to the call. They're still investigating and there were no details on the child's latest condition.
