People living in Delphos are also experiencing worse-than-normal flooding conditions, especially on the city's south side.

The area has seen some flooding in the past, but last night's five inches of rain in the area proved too much for the creeks and lower roads. Several streets and bridges are closed because of the high water levels. Even if you think your vehicle can make it through, the city is urging drivers to avoid water-covered roads to keep you from having any damage to your property and to homes in the area.

"If you're out driving, avoid those flooded areas. This morning we did have two cars we had to pull out of the water so common sense, you know, stay away. Don't speed through the water, you know, we get complaints because the water ends up back in basements so take your time, slow down, and avoid the water," said Shane Coleman, Delphos Safety Services Director.

Right now, the city is all hands on deck when it comes to helping people in need.
