Crime Victim Services in Putnam County is asking the public for input of the services that they provide for the county.

A community summit is planned to take place on February 9th from 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Putnam County Library Kalida Branch. The public is encouraged to attend to discuss victim services that are currently being done for Putnam County as well as any additional services that they would like to see.

Those with Crime Victim Services say that getting input from the community is vital to being sure that they can help as many people as possible.

"Everything we do depends on what victims need, and obviously we're not going to provide service when someone isn’t saying that they need this," said David Voth, executive director for Crime Victim Services. "We don’t always hear things, so we want to make sure that anyone who has an idea or maybe they’ve been in another county or another state, or they had a family member or friend who got service from victim services somewhere else, and they like that to happen in Putnam County."

Those interested are asked to RSVP for the event by calling (419) 615-4989.
