A Defiance man was injured after the tanker truck he was driving, hauling milk, overturned in Putnam County early Thursday morning.
39-year-old Joshua Palczewski is recovering at Defiance Regional Hospital. Putnam County sheriff's deputies say he was heading south on Road 18 south of Road B at around 4 a.m. Thursday when he went off the right side of the road. The tanker rolled over, ending up on its side, with milk leaking out along with some fluids from the truck. The Miller City Fire Department along with Putnam County EMS and Hazmat was called to the scene.
The area had to be shut down for a while this morning for cleanup.

At 0417 The Sheriff's office received a call for a injury Accident. A Semi truck hauling milk was southbound on Rd. 18 south of Rd. B. The truck got off the right side of the roadway and rolled over and stopped on its side, milk was leaking from the tanker, and other fluids were leaking from the truck. Miller city fire dept. Putnam Co. Ems, Putnam co Hazmat and Putnam Co. Sheriff's office responded to the scene. The vehicle driver Joshua Palczewski 39 of Defiance was transported to Defiance Regional Hospital by EMS. Fire Dept., Hazmat, EMA's Office and the Sheriff's Office remain on the scene while the truck is cleared from the scene and the area is clean.
