On 3-1-2019 a male came to the police department to advise officers that his step-son has made threats of physical harm to him. The male only wanted to document the incident at this time.
On 3-2-2019 an officer on patrol conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle after observing a traffic violation. During the traffic stop officers found that the driver, 51 year old Darrell Johnson, of Delphos, was operating the vehicle on a suspended driver’s license. Officers also found that Johnson had an active warrant out of Putnam County. He was taken into custody and later turned over to a Deputy from the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office.
On 3-2-2019 a male contacted the police department to report fraudulent activity on his bank account. The male told officers that a withdrawal was made from his account and apparently went to a mortgage company. The male made a claim with his bank and requested that a report be made.
On 3-4-2019 officers were sent to the 1100 block of Marsh Ave. in reference to a possible Burglary incident. The female resident told officers that someone entered her residence and stole all of her medication.
On 3-4-2019 officers took a report from a female who stated that someone shot paint balls at her residence. The house was hit, but no damage was done.
On 3-6-2019 officers were dispatched to the 200 block of W. Clime St, after receiving a report of a Domestic Violence incident. Officers arrived and made contact with a male and female at the residence. The female told officers that her husband had struck her during an argument. The female did have injuries consistent with an assault and was given first aid by Delphos EMS personnel. During the investigation officers did find probable cause to arrest the male, 67 year old Thomas Frueh of Delphos, for Domestic Violence. He was taken into custody and transported to the Van Wert County Jail. Frueh will appear in Van Wert Municipal Court to face the charge.
On 3-6-2019 officers located a male who was wanted on an active warrant for a parole violation. The male, 40 year old Scott Hampton, was taken into custody and transported to the Allen County Jail.
On 3-7-2019 officers met with a female in the 900 block of Lima Ave, in reference to a Criminal Damaging incident. The female told officers that her vehicle was hit by eggs.
