Chalk one up for a four-legged member of the Findlay Police Department who helped nab a domestic violence suspect.
39-year-old Steven Maciejewski is behind bars, nursing a dog bite wound to his arm. Police say it all began Monday night after an alleged domestic dispute in a parking lot at 800 West Trenton Avenue in Findlay. Those involved left but were found later in a room at the Rodeway Inn Motel. Officers say Maciejewski had climbed up into an attic through an access panel from the bathroom and repeatedly refused to come out. A police dog was sent in, found the suspect hiding behind some insulation, chomped down on his bicep, and Maciejewski decided to give up.
He's charged with domestic violence and obstructing official business.
