In an effort to better prepare women for the holiday season, the Lima/Allen County Chamber of Commerce held its annual Women in Business Jollification.
There were close to a dozen vendors and 125 attendees at this year's Chamber Christmas Shoppe. Beauty by Jill, Yazel's Flowers and Gifts, Apollo Career Center and Steven Michaels, were just some of the vendors present.
Ladies had the opportunity to learn more about holiday hair and makeup, how to dress a mantle, trends in Christmas decor and more. This is an event that helps community members not only prepare for the season ahead, but it also provides an opportunity to de-stress and socialize before the holiday.
“Women in Business is a great networking event,” said Natasha Kaufman, Lima/Allen County Chamber of Commerce director of programs. “Usually we have a lot of great information to give. Sometimes I think at this time of the year we’re to the point where we’re maybe stressed out or it’s just overwhelming. This is a great event to just come and feel good. We’re supporting our fellow business owners in the community by having them set up. We can shop them. It’s a great feel-good event.”
Women in Business is a quarterly event for women in the community that focuses on personal and professional developmental as well as educational and leadership skills.
