Residents of the city of Lima will get a chance to hear from the candidates running for city council this fall at an open forum.

Hosted by the Lima African American Chamber of Commerce and co-sponsored by several local groups, the forum will give the candidates a chance to introduce themselves. It will follow a nonpartisan, unbiased and impartial format. Organizers say this is an important election and this will allow people to hear directly from the candidates. The forum will be Thursday, September 19th at the Lima City Club from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. All candidates will be present except for Derry Glenn who has chosen not to attend.
