A convicted felon will be adding time to his sentence after taking a plea deal in a second court case.
21-year-old Jayleontre Harris is adding six years to his prison term for a charge of felonious assault with a three-year firearm specification. Harris plead guilty to the charge this morning and part of the agreement saw two other charges dropped. Last April, Harris was sentenced to 14 years in prison for aggravated burglary and was acquitted of murder. The two sentences will run consecutive to each other. Court documents state the felonious assault occurred on May 18, 2016. The aggravated burglary occurred the very next day.
