A Lima woman is in custody after hitting a man with her car early Wednesday morning.
According to the Lima Police Department, officers arrived at Marko's Bar just after midnight to find 26-year-old Demetrius Williams of Lima, bleeding from injuries to his face in the parking lot.
Williams and 42-year-old Shalitta Cole had been inside the bar earlier that evening when they had gotten into an argument that moved outside to the parking lot. At one point, Williams attempted to walk away to return to the bar. Cole got into the driver's seat of a 2017 Nissan Altima and struck Williams, causing injuries to his face and legs.
Willams was transported to Lima Memorial with non-life threatening injuries. Cole was taken into custody and has been charged with suspicion of aggravated vehicular assault and operating a motor vehicle under the influence.

On Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at approx. 12:08 am, officers from the Lima Police Dept were dispatched to 701 S Main St, Marko’s Bar in reference to a vehicle, pedestrian crash. Upon arrival, officers observed Demetrius Williams (26 years old of Lima) in the parking lot, bleeding from injuries to his face. Officers learned Demetrius and Shalitta Cole (42 years old of Lima) had been inside the bar. An argument began between the two inside the bar at first, then both parties walked outside the bar into the parking lot. Officers were informed at some point in the argument, Demetrius attempted to walk away and go back inside the establishment. Shalitta entered the driver’s seat of a 2017 Nissan Altima and drove the vehicle towards Demetrius. Shalitta struck Demetrius with the vehicle causing injuries to his face and legs. Demetrius was transported to Lima Memorial Hospital and treated for non-life threatening injuries. Shalitta was taken into custody and charged with Suspicion of Aggravated Vehicular Assault and Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence.
