Man accused of murdering wife files motion for more time to prepare documents

A Waynesfield man who allegedly murdered his wife was in court for his first pre-trial today in Auglaize County Common Pleas Court.

45-year-old Brent Williams and his attorney filed a motion to hold all other motions until November 5, 2018. The reason given by defense attorney Bill Kluge was the numerous documents he must sort through including 20,000 files of medical records. Kluge had anticipated motions to suppress to arise. The pre-trial is continued to November 13th when motions will be discussed and a trial date set.

Williams is accused of murdering his wife, 35-year-old Erin Mulcahy, in July 2017 and was indicted in July 2018. He faces two counts of murder and one count of tampering with evidence.
