A Mercer County man was killed Monday morning when his tractor he was using rolled on top of him.
Sheriff Jeff Grey says that 57-year-old Douglas Randall was working with his tractor to remove a log from a wooded area near his home when the tractor overturned. The tractor landed on Randall, pinning him underneath. First responders were called in and removed him from under the tractor and took him to Mercer Health in Coldwater, where he was pronounced dead. The sheriff's office was assisted by the Celina EMS and Fire Department on the call.

CELINA, OH – Mercer County Sheriff Jeff Grey reported that his office is investigating a tractor accident that occurred on private property near 6399 Fleetfoot Rd. Celina. The Sheriff’s Office received a 9-1-1 call at 10:17 AM.
The investigation revealed that Douglas J. Randall, Age 57, Celina, OH had been operating a Ford “8N” tractor alone in a wooded area beside his residence. It appeared that he had been attempting to remove a large log from the area when the tractor that he was operating overturned and landed on him. Randall was located pinned under the tractor and 911 was called for assistance. Randall was removed from under the tractor and transported by Celina EMS to Mercer Health Hospital in Coldwater. Douglas J. Randall later succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the Mercer Health ER.
The Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by Celina EMS and the Celina Fire Department.
