LIMA, OHIO (WLIO) - One person was seriously injured after their car drove off the road, striking many things and ending up under a mobile home.
The female driver was taken to Mercy Health St. Rita’s with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
The American Township Fire Department was called out to 3293 W. State Road just before 9 p.m. Friday. The female driver was taken to Mercy Health St. Rita’s with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. The car somehow drove off the road, striking a mailbox, power pole, and a parked car. The impact with the parked car pushed it into the mobile home, moving the mobile home a foot. The person inside the home was not injured. Midwest Electric replaced the power pole. The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.

At 8:46 PM Friday night, ATFD was dispatched to 3293 W. State Road for a vehicle vs. mobile home accident. Upon arrival, one vehicle was found under a porch of a mobile home with one female occupant. That driver was transport to Mercy Health St. Rita's Lima with serious but non life-threatening injuries. There was one occupant inside the trailer that was uninjured. The vehicle had gone off the road and struck a mailbox, power pole, landscaping, and a parked vehicle before coming to rest against the residence. When striking the parked (unoccupied) vehicle, that was pushed into the trailer, moving it nearly a foot. The power pole was completely broken and Midwest Electric arrived to replace the pole. The Lima post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
