OSU Lima dedicates new student life building

The Ohio State University Lima campus officially opened their new student life building.

The Perry Webb Student Life Building was formally dedicated with a program and tour of the facility. The $5.2 million, 15,000 square foot building houses meeting rooms and a lounge area, as well as a workout facility and a Starbucks. The space is the first centralized hub for student activity on campus and will hopefully allow students to build on their relationships.

"We know from evidence nationally and also at Ohio State that students do better if they can spend more time out of class together and one the campus environment, and the ability for this to be an attractor for those students to actually spend time between classes and have really meaningful interactions is just an incredible change in the culture of the campus," says Exec. Vice President and Provost Bruce McPheron.

The building has been unofficially open since late August and has already proven to be a popular addition with students.
