A Celina High School student may be facing charges after allegedly making threats toward Celina City Schools last night.
Just before 11 p.m. Sunday, the Celina Police Department responded to a complaint about a Celina High School student who posted a video of himself holding a realistic-looking handgun. The gun turned out to be an Airsoft BB gun. According to the Celina Police Department, in the posted video, the student tells other students not to go to school the next day.
When police arrived, the unidentified high school student was cooperative and claimed the threat was a joke. Despite his claim, Celina City Schools say they plan to take disciplinary action and the Mercer County Prosecutor's Office also plans to file charges.
