Two-car crash north of Cairo sends two adults and an infant to the hospital

Two adults and an infant were transported to the hospital after a two-car crash north of Cairo on Tuesday afternoon. The crash happened just after 3 p.m. at the intersection of Hook-Waltz Road and State Route 65. The Ohio State Highway Patrol says the driver of the grey Buick failed to stop before turning on to Hook-Waltz and ran into the front of the red Chevy. The vehicles sustained heavy front end damage. Both drivers and an infant that was riding in one of the cars was taken to St. Rita's and are expected to be okay. Traffic was backed up both ways on 65 until the crash was cleaned up.
