The elderly Shawnee Township woman that has been missing since Sunday has been found.
According to the Shawnee Township Police Department, 77 year old Janet Taflinger has been located in Hamilton County Indiana near Indianapolis. A call was received by Hamilton County dispatch just before 2:30 Tuesday afternoon that Taflinger approached an officer stating she was lost. The officer could see she was confused and ran her license and got a hit on her "Missing Elderly Person" alert. Shawnee Township Police say she is fine and family is heading to get her.
Update - The family says the car is a champagne or tan color, not silver.

Shawnee Township, Ohio on June 9, 2019, at approximately 9:50 PM the Shawnee Township Police Department took a report of a missing 77-year-old female with the possibility of onset dementia. Janet has also been upset lately over family issues. Janet is described as a white. female 5’03” 110 lbs., bro. hair, and green. eyes.
Janet I. Taflinger was last seen at her residence of 2299 W. Hume Rd. around 4:00 PM on Sunday, June 9, 2019. Mrs. Taflinger is believed to be driving her 2010 tan or champagne colored Mercury Milan, Ohio License Plate AM75AW. This vehicle is not able to be tracked by Ford Sync, and Janet does not have a cell phone. A debit card was used at 4:32 PM however that was conducted by Janet’s spouse.
Janet sometimes visits Alger or Cridersville. Both Hardin Co. and Auglaize Co. checked the area and did not locate the vehicle.
A “silver alert” was issued 10:32 PM by BCI.
