A Van Wert man who was indicted for an incident that occurred in 2016 has entered a change of Plea. Back in July, 32-year-old Rodney Knauss was indicted by the Van Wert County Grand Jury on one count of rape and one count of gross sexual imposition.
A Lima teen has changed his plea towards an escape charge on Thursday. Juan Freeman was originally arrested for robbing Little Caesars Pizza and Hermie's Party Shop back in January of 2020.
An Ottawa man has changed his plea on Tuesday in Putnam County Common Pleas Court. According to a bill of information, Jesus Tapia is accused of engaging in sexual conduct with another who was not his spouse, whose age at the time of the said sexual conduct was less than thirteen years of age.
David Henry is facing charges after an alleged incident where he threatened an individual with a handgun in the city. Henry's charges include one count of Felonious Assault with a firearm specification and one count of having weapons under disability. On Wednesday, Henry entered a plea deal with the state. He will now change his previous pleas of not guilty to guilty to the felonious assault charge, in exchange for the dismissal of the firearm specification and the second count of having weapons under disability.
Bradley Pepple was indicted by the Allen Grand Jury back in October of 2020 on a felony charge including failure to stop after an accident (felony 2) and misdemeanor charges such as Driving under Suspension, Driving under financial responsibility law suspension or cancellation, operating a motor vehicle or motorcycle without a valid license, and failure to reinstate a license.
Cameron Rogers was indicted back on July 16th, 2020 for one count of trafficking in cocaine (felony 5), two counts of trafficking in cocaine (felony 4), and one count of possession of cocaine with forfeiture specification. Rogers was arrested back on June 1st of 2020 by the West Central Ohio Crime Task Force. Rogers changed his previous plea of not guilty to all four charges to guilty. A pre-sentence investigation has been ordered. A tentative sentencing date has now been scheduled for June 7th, 2021.
Zonobia McLaurin was indicted back on March 12th, 2020 on a charge of Unlawful Sexual Conduct with a Minor. Tuesday morning, McLaurin entered an agreement to a plea deal. She will now enter a plea of guilty to a bill of information of aggravated assault, in exchange for a waiver on the indictment.
A Lima woman has changed her plea in Allen County Court of Common Pleas Wednesday. Kae'londa Peoples-Fuqua is facing charges of corrupting another with drugs and involuntary manslaughter for the death of Dino Gerdeman, who was found dead in a Lima hotel room back in May of 2020.
Zyshon Stiggers is charged with aggravated robbery and felonious assault after police say he took part in robbing the Clark Gas Station on Bluelick Road in May of 2019. Stiggers was scheduled to appear for a Change of Plea hearing in Allen County Common Pleas Court on Wednesday. However, he was granted more time to make a decision on accepting a plea deal.
Marquez Pritchett was indicted on charges of murder with a firearm and having weapons under disability by the Allen County Grand Jury in June of 2020. He's accused of the 2017 murder of Shannon Scott. Family members found Scott shot to death in is Michael Avenue home. Pritchett, his representative, and the prosecution presented a plea of guilty to a bill of information for voluntary manslaughter (Felony 1) with a firearm specification. The plea also includes an agreed upon sentencing of seven years for voluntary manslaughter and three years for the firearm specification. The new plea agreement will dismiss the indictment of murder.
