This year marks the second year for the State Support Team Region 6's "Best Practices Showcase". The State Support Team helps school districts and families around the area. The event held at Elida High School was set up so that teachers and educators had the chance to show off some of the things that they do at their schools that are successful for their students - a good opportunity for others to learn and take back new strategies with them, and make new connections.
After four years of homework, school work, tests and mandatory classes, students at Elida High School finally got the chance to celebrate their academic success.

Members of the Elida High School Men's Chorus brought some of their musical talents to a local senior living facility Wednesday morning. The group paid a visit to Elmcroft Senior Living to perform several songs for residents and staff. Members of the Men's Chorus say that this is one of the first performances that they've had outside of the stage, and that it was a fun experience to sing for people as a group.
The man alleged to have threatened to shoot up Elida High School was back in court Wednesday afternoon. Attorneys of 20-year-old Tristan Ascura filed another motion to suppress. The motion this time involved an interrogation, and the defense alleges "coercion" had been used by law enforcement.
