A convicted felon will be adding time to his sentence after taking a plea deal in a second court case. 21-year-old Jayleontre Harris is adding six years to his prison term for a charge of felonious assault with a three-year firearm specification. Harris plead guilty to the charge this morning and part of the agreement saw two other charges dropped. Last April, Harris was sentenced to 14 years in prison for aggravated burglary and was acquitted of murder.
A convicted Lima man was back in Allen County common Pleas Court as he nears another trial for more crimes he may have committed.

Harris turned down a deal that would have him plea guilty to felonious assault with a firearm specification and have two other charges dropped. According to court documents these charges stem from May 18, 2016. The crime he was convicted on occurred one day later in 2016. A trial is set for July 9.
