The Ross County Board of Developmental Disabilities brought their mobile smart home to Allen County to showcase the latest advancements in technology that can help those who need supportive care. From a state-of-the-art tracking system to devices that help with overall communication, the mobile home hopes to show that there are advancements in overall care.
The jury found 46-year-old Marcus Sullivan guilty of felonious assault. Sullivan was then sentenced to a minimum of 10 years, up to 14 years in prison. There was additional time in that sentence for having repeat violent offender specification on the charge.

A man accused of raping a teenage girl tries to get a new trial date and a new lawyer. 31-year-old Cornelius Ware Jr.'s new trial date has been pushed back until August to give his lawyer time to prepare. His trial was originally set to begin on May 10th.
46-year-old Marcus Sullivan is facing a charge of felonious assault. As the trial began, jury members watched security video of the incident, where Sullivan allegedly put his hands on the neck of the woman to choke her. The police officers who responded following the incident, Sullivan, and the victim all took the stand on the first day of the trial. The jury is expected to get the case on Tuesday.
20-year-old Jonathon Brown was sentenced Monday in Allen County Common Pleas Court. Brown was arrested after he set a bed on fire while a woman, he was in a relationship with, was sleeping in it. He was originally indicted on aggravated arson but pleaded guilty to a reduced charge.
Senate Bill 215 was signed into law by Governor Mike DeWine earlier this year which caused concern among judges and law enforcement across the state. Today the Allen County Sheriff and the chief assistant Allen County Prosecutor speaking at the Lima Rotary Club to explain what will and will not change with SB-215.

35-year-old Amanda Hovanec, 61-year-old Anita Green, and 33-year-old Anthony Theodorou all waived their right to a preliminary hearing in Toledo Federal Court. They are charged with the death of Timothy Hovanec, who was killed by lethal injection of a drug. Now their cases will be bound over to a federal grand jury to determine if new or additional charges will be brought against them.
