Quentin Ellcessor, a four year old with severe autism, went missing in Kenton Thursday afternoon. Since then, law enforcement and the community have been searching nearly around the clock.

People dashed from the starting line to run the 5K through the Riverwalk next to the YMCA. Pumpkins along the path guided the way, and people were able to enjoy the fall scenery while getting some exercise in.

SAFY is known for helping families and children in need of behavioral health, but when the pandemic hit in March, they extended their resources to also help feed those in need. This was all made possible through the partnership with Children’s Hunger Alliance, a nonprofit from Columbus.

Thursday night, search crews wrapped up just past 2:00 A.M. and were back again Friday at sunrise. They are looking for four-year-old Quentin who went missing from his grandmother’s home around noon Thursday. Police officers could be seen arm-in-arm, scaling every inch of the river around the area the boy was last seen. Officials say they are trying to cover as much ground as possible before the storm rolls in.

Auglaize has seen a spike in new daily cases with having upward of 30 new cases in one day last week. The health commissioner says that they haven't been able to trace outbreaks to specific events, but contact tracing has been difficult. They also found that people have been experiencing "restriction fatigue", meaning they're tired of having to abide by COVID-19 guidelines.
