Ty Batemon returned to Your Hometown Stations after a two year hiatus. While she was gone she worked with the WCIA 3 news team in Central Illinois.

They say a man walking across the Vine Street and St. Johns Avenue intersection was hit by a dark color SUV around 7 p.m. Friday evening. Police also say the SUV continued south. The man was taken to Lima Memorial Hospital and is listed in critical condition. The Hancock County Sheriff's Office says a Toyota traveling on Township Road 95, driven by David Katz of McComb, ran through a stop sign hitting a car driven by Keyon Camden of Bradner at 11 a.m. Friday morning. Katz was life-flighted to a hospital and was listed in critical condition. Katz's passenger Kristie Tucker and the other driver Keyon Camden were taken to the same hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. The crash is still being investigated.

The call came in before 6:30 p.m. Thursday evening. The sheriff's office blocked off part of an area at Gatehouse Condominiums near the Lima Mall on Cable. Scanner traffic said a victim was taken to the hospital and that deputies were looking for a reportedly armed suspect. There's no word on if the suspect has been captured or the victim's condition.

Just after 5 p.m. Monday evening, the Allen County Sheriff's Office received a call that a car had crashed into the side of the Hampton Inn on Lima's east side. Guests were evacuated by Perry Township Fire and EMS after reports of the smell of gas. Two people were taken to a hospital and checked out following the crash. Guests were given the okay to re-enter the building once it was deemed safe.

Lima police are investigating a shooting at 420 North Charles Street around 9:30 Friday night. Both of the victims were located in two different spots in the area when reports were called into first responders. It's not clear if the two men shot each other or if they were shot by the same person. Very few details have been released at this time as police continue to investigate. We'll have more information when it's available.

Allen County Sheriff's Office investigated a stabbing at 360 St. Clair Avenue in Lima just before 10 p.m. Friday. Police had the area blocked off. One person was taken from the scene for their injuries. No suspect is in custody at this time. We'll have more once it's available.

The Hancock County Sheriff's Office says they got a call about the crash around 10 a.m. Thursday morning. The sheriff's office says it started when a woman driving an SUV on U.S. 68 was hit by a Kia Soul as she tried to turn into a business. Deputies identified the Kia Soul's driver as 26-year-old John Drumm of Kenton. They say when the crash happened, Drumm sped away from the scene in his car.

They say the body belongs to a 56-year-old man. His name has not been released yet, pending the notification of his family. An autopsy by the Lucas County Coroner's Office couldn't point out a cause of death in the initial findings. The continuance of the investigation will depend on the toxicology results.

Fair officials say there were 97 entries for the races which is almost double last year's numbers. It was a two-day event at the fair. Fans follow their favorite horses around the area for support and to cheer them on along the way. Although the harness races wrapped up Wednesday night, the demolition derby and bull riding will take over the fair on Thursday and Friday, respectively.
