LIMA, OH (WLIO) - The Lima Fire Department quickly handled a house fire that seriously damaged a home on the city's west side.Â
The Lima Fire Department was called out to 1024 West Wayne Street just after 10:30 p.m. Sunday. A neighbor reported seeing smoke and flames coming from a second-floor window. The residents were in the garage at the time. The firefighters quickly extinguished the blaze. The fire damage was contained to the room where it started, but there was smoke and water damage throughout the house. The cause is still under investigation, and the estimated cost of the damage and contents is around $35,000.Â
