There’s a new dean on the job at Wright State’s Lake Campus.
Jay Albayyari took over for Bonnie Mathies who retired recently.
Albayyari had been acting dean since April 1st and was able to work alongside Mathies who helped him transition into the position.
Albayyari had previously held positions at IPFWÂ in Fort Wayne.
He says the biggest challenge he faces is bringing cultural diversity to the campus.
The 48 year old received his bachelor’s, master’s and Ph.D. in mechanical engineering from the University of Cincinnati and served on the faculty at Northern Kentucky University and Eastern Michigan University before arriving at IPFW in 2006.
