A U.S. congressman made his way into Lima, Monday afternoon, to explain areas of legislation and hear from the people living in his district.
Congressman Jim Jordan was awarded the US Chamber of Commerce Spirit of Enterprise Award to commend the work he's been doing on Capital Hill. Jordan spoke on current issues regarding small business, future legislative plans, and the anticipated government shut down on Friday. While it may not be an ideal situation among politicians, it appears as if the shut down may be a necessary evil.
Congressman Jordan then traveled to the Civic Center to hear from citizens within his district. Before receiving questions from the audience, many expressed their opinions using green "agree" signs and red "disagree" signs while the congressman spoke.
