A former Elida High School student accused of murder is again progressing in her hospital treatment.
In a movement hearing requested by Northwest Ohio Psychiatric Hospital, Kenyada Jackson will be moved from a level three to a level four. Jackson will now continue in the vocational education program and begin working under supervision on hospital grounds. She's also permitted supervised off ground trips. Judge Jeffrey Reed order that she still have no time unsupervised. During the testimony, there was a misunderstanding between court orders and how the hospital assigns privileges.
"And I don't think its within my jurisdiction at this hearing to order them to change what they call their different levels," said Reed. "I think everyone's in agreement, it sounds like, that Ms. Jackson would benefit from being in the vocational rehabilitation program."
Jackson was found not guilty in 2011, by reason of insanity, for killing her 4-year-old sister.
