Two people are dead, following a two-car accident on U.S. 30, just outside of Delphos.

It happened around 3 p.m. Tuesday afternoon near the Fifth Street exit. Troopers say a pickup truck was traveling eastbound when it drifted left of center past the median onto the westbound lane. It then struck a semi-truck head-on, causing both vehicles to catch on fire. The force of the crash moved the vehicles forward until they finally stopped underneath the overpass.

"We were called out by the state patrol. The Department of EMA was here to make sure there wasn't any fuel leaking but again we're just trying to find out who these gentlemen are and make notifications to their family," said Jamie Sizemore, Allen County Coroner's Office Investigator.

There were two occupants in each vehicle. The occupants of the pickup truck were pronounced dead on the scene. Their identities have not yet been released. The occupants of the semi were taken to St. Rita's with minor injuries. The crash remains under investigation.
