New Lima Target to welcome shoppers Sunday
The store held a VIP preview Tuesday, featuring a welcome from local cheer squads and a $4,000 donation to the Lima Noon Optimist Club’s Safety City.
LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) — Lima’s new Target store is preparing to open its doors to the public.
The store held a VIP preview Tuesday, featuring a welcome from local cheer squads and a $4,000 donation to the Lima Noon Optimist Club’s Safety City.
The new location will employ more than 150 people and offer everyday essentials, a Starbucks café, a CVS Pharmacy, and same-day pickup and delivery options.
The store also features an expanded grocery section, with more fresh produce, quick meals and grab-and-go options.
“We have more of a food mix, more of our store brands, and we have more of a footprint in the food department. So, there’s more opportunities to get the food that you need, whether it’s open market or whether it’s dry grocery, even fresh pet food,” said Natasha Thomas, the store director.
The grand opening is scheduled for Sunday, Nov. 8, at 7:15 a.m.
The celebration will include performances by local marching bands and cheer teams, along with remarks from Lima Mayor Sharetta Smith.
