Your Hometown Lima Stations has an opening for an on-air personality interested in working in both weather (primary) and news (secondary). Looking for a meteorologist who can give a clear, concise, interesting, and entertaining weather forecast during live 6am & Noon newscasts. Duties will include, but not limited to, handling live weather forecasts on our morning and noon shows, Monday through Friday. Weather cut ins during morning network programs.
Looking for someone with energy, loves to chat about weather, and has the personality to bring a smile to our viewers faces. Also, one person band reporting during the week in between weather shows is a possibility. We have live capabilities, expect successful candidate to be able to go live for both weather & news. Being able to shoot, edit and write news stories is helpful, but will train. Successful candidate must work well with weather team and news staff. Working knowledge of WSI, AP ENPS, ADOBE PREMIERE and website move you to the head of the class. College degree is required, meteorology based.
