Jessica Gavin joins WLIO as the co-anchor for First Edition show. Jessica comes to us after spending two years as a reporter at NBC affiliate WFIE in Evansville, Indiana. Before that, she was a reporter at local FOX/CBS in Beckley, West Virginia.

Born in Miami, Jessica grew up in Hampton Roads, Virginia and graduated from Liberty University. There, she was involved as on-air talent on the campus television station. She also was the sideline reporter at Liberty football and hockey games.

She’s interviewed presidential candidates, governors and United States senators. Jessica has covered everything from Hurricane Sandy, the Charleston Water Crisis and the Greenbrier Classic PGA Tour.

When not on the the clock, Jessica is passionate about community engagement and giving back. She's a board member of the local American Red Cross, an active participant of Sertoma (service) Club, sits on the Committee Chair of our Chamber of Commerce’s Young Professionals organization, a “Big” with Big Brothers Big Sisters, and an Advocate for the American Cancer Society. Jessica regularly hosts/emcees business and charity events, and she's a Young Leader of the Year Award nominee with the Chamber of Commerce. She enjoys skiing, playing the piano and has recently attempted (assuming an old dog can learn new tricks) to pick up golf. Connect with Jessica on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram on @JessicaGavinTV
