The trial for the Lima teen accused of killing Daveon Petaway has been pushed back to December 19th.
16-year-old Albert McDowell III is facing two counts of murder and a felonious assault charge both with firearm specifications. His trial was on the schedule to start next Monday. McDowell's defense attorney asked the trial be pushed back to give his investigators more time to track down witnesses. McDowell is accused of shooting Petaway in front of Meat City on March 7th.
McDowell fled Lima and was captured a month later around Piqua. If convicted, McDowell could face 18 years to life in prison.
