They have been sworn to protect and serve, and yes, make pancakes.
The Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #21 will be hosting their 23rd Pancake Day. It's become a Lima tradition that supports the FOP's programs in the community. They help with the Explorers Post, Boy Scouts of America, Cops and Kids Christmas Shopping, and the police memorial located at the Lodge on Robb Avenue. The all you can eat breakfast is sure to fill you up while supporting a worthy cause.
"If you come early you can get some specialty blueberry and chocolate chip pancakes. Come a little bit later you can get your fill of all the pancakes and sausage you want to eat," said Randi Kohli, FOP Lodge #21.
The FOP Pancake Day is Saturday, October 5th from 6 a.m. to 1 p.m. Advanced tickets are $7 and $8 at the door. Kids 12 and under are $4.
