Allen County Commissioners address maintenance issues

Several Allen County owned buildings will have major maintenance issues taken care of this year.

Commissioners appropriating dollars into the Capital Improvement Budget to get these projects underway. One is at the Court of Appeals building, where the entire HVAC system will be replaced. It's expected to cost just over $800,000. The building is nearly 30 years old and the system is original and has reached its life expectancy.

Another project is the roof at the Allen County Engineer's Office. It will need work as it has major water leak issues. Allen County Commissioner, Cory Noonan says there are many issues that need to be addressed sooner rather than later.

The capital budget is 2.9 million dollars, with 2.1 million allocated for use.
