A meeting regarding the central dispatch center was held at Ohio Means Jobs on Wednesday.
Allen County Commissioners and local police agencies gathered in order to discuss details and finances on the central dispatch project.
The project would house all Allen County city and township fire and police departments, in order to create a faster process between when someone calls 911 to when a unit is dispatched to their location.
"Well today is just to bring another, formula if you will, to the agencies that we dispatch for," said Brian Winegardner, Allen County Commissioner. "We have come up with another idea that we want to hand off to them and discuss that further and discuss what the future looks like with dispatch, whether it be just continued as is, or long-term, possibly a central dispatch."
