The Allen County Commissioners officially approved the county budget for 2022 on Tuesday afternoon.
All three commissioners voted in approval of the $31.8 million budget.
This year's budget is nearly $2 million more than last year's, and part of that comes from the changing needs of different entities in the county - like increased medical insurance costs and additional staffing.
"Anytime that you have increases to contracts, increases to your insurance lines, you have to identify them and find the dollars for that, and we’ve been able to do that," said Allen County Commissioner Cory Noonan.
This budget was based on projections from the budget commission and some of the carry over dollars that can be used for this year.
