The Allen County Republican Party is looking for a new candidate to fill the position for County Treasurer.
The position was made available after the last County Treasurer, Rachael Gilroy, left the position to serve as the new Allen County Auditor. Requirements for the treasurer position include being a resident of Allen County, a registered Republican voter, and be able to be bonded pursuant to the Ohio Revised Code. Prior relevant professional experience is another requirement that the Republican party would like to see for applicants.
"We’re also looking for an individual who has experience in finance reconciliation, as well as investments," said Keith Cheney, chairman for the Allen County Republican Party.
Resumes will be accepted until Friday, June 22nd by 2 p.m. Resumes can be submitted by hand or mailed to the Allen County Republican office at 3111 West Elm Street, or emailed to republicans@allencountyohiogop.com.
