LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) — A Lima family involved in the entertainment industry is giving back to families with babies in neonatal intensive care through a special summer concert event.
33 West Productions is bringing country music artist Niko Moon to the Pangle Pavilion at the Greater Lima Region Amphitheater on July 2 for a benefit concert supporting the Ava Ray Foundation.
The foundation assists local families with babies receiving treatment in neonatal intensive care units, commonly known as NICUs.
The cause is personal for 33 West Productions President Evan Nieto and his family. His daughter, Ava Ray, was born prematurely and spent time in the NICU before growing into what Nieto said is now a healthy 6-year-old.
Following their experience, the family created the Ava Ray Foundation to support other families facing similar challenges.
“Ava Ray Foundation helps support local families with financial assistance, resources and prayer, letting those families who are going through that NICU experience focus solely on what matters most, and that's their child,” Nieto said.
All proceeds from the concert will benefit the Ava Ray Foundation, including ticket sales, food, beverages, concessions and a percentage of merchandise sales.
The concert is scheduled for Thursday, July 2. Tickets are $25, and doors open at 6 p.m. Tickets are available through the Lima Festivals and Amphitheater Alliance website.
