LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) — If you're planning to fly this year, AAA Lima is offering a TSA PreCheck enrollment event to help make travel easier.
From July 14-17, travelers can apply for a five-year TSA PreCheck membership. The program allows approved passengers to move through airport security more quickly without removing shoes, belts or light jackets.
AAA says the enrollment process only takes a few minutes.
"Once you're here, it doesn't take very long to get through the process ... maybe five to 10 minutes. It's a quick background check, they take your picture, you get them paid and you're out the door," said Cindy Nelson, retail manager at AAA Lima.
TSA PreCheck enrollment will be available July 14-17 at the AAA Lima office on Allentown Road. Appointments are available from 9 a.m. to noon and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. The cost is $85. To schedule an appointment, visit aaa.com/events.
