LIMA, OH (WLIO) - The Allen Lima Leadership class is going back to school, to learn about the educational opportunities that are available in the area.
The adult ALL class started Friday at Ohio State Lima to learn about the various learning that goes on inside and outside the classroom with hands-on experimental learning opportunities in various programs. Ohio State Lima has over a dozen bachelor’s degrees that students can get on their campus, and over 200 if they transition to the main campus in Columbus. But with all the opportunities offered at the Lima campus, university officials are trying to spread the word about how their students will be a benefit to local companies and organizations.
“I think we can do a much better job of really sharing what our mission is and how is relevant to area businesses and different industry partners,” says Dr. Margaret Young, Interim Dean, Ohio State Lima. “So, what I hope our Allen Lima Leadership group learns is a little bit about what we do and how their professions and their professional identities can apply to what we do.”
Besides visiting Ohio State Lima, the group also traveled to Apollo to learn about the importance of career tech learning.
