ACCS director Sarah Newland discussed the new program at the weekly Lima Rotary Club meeting.

"This program will be vital in allowing us to keep kids local in our community and not placing them counties away for treatment, and allow them to remain in a family like setting," Newland said. "There's so many benefits to these children that can remain in our community."

Newland adds they will be looking first at their current foster parents to see if they are willing to take on this higher level care and also looking for additional homes in Allen, Auglaize and Hardin Counties to become licensed.
