LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) — The Allen County Republican Party is preparing for its annual Lincoln-Reagan Dinner, adding a patriotic twist this year with a celebration marking America’s upcoming 250th anniversary.
Organizers say the event will be a night to remember featuring U.S. Sen. Bernie Moreno as the keynote speaker. Moreno has gained attention on Capitol Hill as a member of several Senate committees and is expected to speak about national and global issues.
Allen County Republican Party Chair Keith Cheney says attendees will have the opportunity to hear Moreno share both personal experiences and insights on current events.
“We're excited that Senator Moreno will be here to share his life's experience here in America, and then certainly with the events that are happening throughout the world, Bernie sets on some pretty important committees. So it'll be interesting to hear his delivery of exactly what's happening throughout the world and here in America,” said Cheney.
The dinner and celebration will be held at the UNOH Event Center on Friday, April 3. Doors will open at 5:45 p.m.

Organizers say every attendee will receive a special commemorative pin as part of the America’s 250th celebration.
