DELPHOS, Ohio (WLIO) — The Arnold C. Dienstberger Foundation awarded more than two dozen grants totaling $300,000 to 27 organizations for 2025, continuing its annual commitment to supporting local initiatives in the Delphos community.
The foundation, formed around 1963 by Arnold C. Dienstberger, began making yearly distributions following the sale of the Delphos Memorial Home and Sara Jane Living Center. The proceeds from those sales allowed the organization to establish a long-term funding model for community groups.
Since 1998, nearly $8 million has been distributed to Delphos-area charities. Foundation leaders say those funds have had a tremendous impact on residents, programs and services throughout the community.
"It affects not only our older generations but our younger generations as well. From baseball to all of those things, the sports. Both schools- both schools have added to their budgets every year. The fire department, the police department- I could go on and on with every year, all of the things that they do and it helps senior citizens center," says Rick Miller, President, Arnold C. Dienstberger Foundation.
This year, $300,000 in grants were presented to organizations addressing public safety, youth activities, the arts, education and community outreach.

- Delphos Community Christmas Project: $10,000
- CHP Home Care & Hospice: $6,000
- Kiwanis Club of Delphos: $25,000
- Delphos Police Department: $7,500
- Delphos Fire Department: $7,500
- Marion Township Fire Department: $2,000
- Delphos Public Library: $3,000
- Delphos Rotary Club: $15,000
- Delphos Senior Citizens: $25,000
- Delphos St. John’s Schools: $45,000
- Delphos Little League: $3,000
- Delphos City Schools: $45,000
- Delphos St. Vincent DePaul: $7,500
- Lima Symphony Orchestra: $2,400
- Mike Gallmeier Foundation: $2,500
- Downtown Delphos Farmers Market: $1,500
